Sometimes rejection can feel oh so sweet. Today I went out to get my graduation dress in the city. I had a nice lunch with my parents at some American themed restaurant, and came home. And there it was. On the floor.
For months now I've been so worried about the next step. After school, then what? I DONT want to go to college under any circumstances, the only problem was my dad and his family. "Thats the next step, if you dont go now you wont go at all" or "you'll never get a decent job without it". But you know what? Although that may or may not be true, its for sure now.
I
Got
Rejected.
So suck it, basically. It feels so good to NOT have that commitment looming in the distance, I DONT have to lie to my family and tell them that I got rejected cause I really did! Now I just have to figure out how to tell them what I've wanted to do all along. I can not tell you how big of a relief this is. Thank effing gawd.
